Elizabeth Añaños Vega is a Peruvian architect and public sector leader dedicated to improving infrastructure and urban development.
A graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), Elizabeth has led major infrastructure projects throughout her career. As Executive Director of Pronied (2019), she managed one of Peru’s largest education investment programs, overseeing initiatives like the Bicentennial Schools and Plan Selva to address critical infrastructure gaps. She later served as Vice Minister of Housing and Urban Development (2020-2021), spearheading the National Housing and Urban Development Policy and the Sustainable Urban Development Law.
Currently, Elizabeth is Vice President of the Advisory Commission for National Infrastructure Development (CCDIN), continuing her mission to enhance public spaces and improve living conditions across Peru. Passionate about architecture’s social impact, she advocates for stronger collaboration between public institutions, private sectors, and academia to create sustainable cities.
